Friends

My body is so broken! Last night was stunning... its been a good couple of years since I've heard a full night of that kind of psytrance in this country- the twisted forestpsy variety that it. It also makes me use some different sets of muscles to the usual full-on stompy kind, hence a few more aches and pains. But yes good fun stuff.

And I'm currently trying to work out whether the 'mystery' live act, Seeds of Play, were *actually* Grapes of Wrath. as I've never heard of the former yet they were in the headline slot. And they sounded so deep and groovy like G.O.W. too.

Is anyone else coming along to the Parvati / Wildthings Records party on Friday at the Colosseum? Onkel Dunkel, Jahbo, EVP tempt you?

I had my first weekend without clubbing for a while, instead I was at technosquish's housewarming in High Wycombe, a small and relaxed affair really... except for a touch of quite competitive Twister! The rest of the weekend involved travel to and from there (nice cheap advance train tickets via Birmingham), and my usual local grocery shopping, then I was back early Sunday afternoon and napped some.

Work at the moment is on the quieter side after November's pressures. I'll be visiting one or two forces establishments on fact finding for some integration work coming up this month and in the new year which should be very interesting.

Home, I'm spending more time then ever on the decks playing with darkpsy amongst other things. Though this is slightly impeded by the fact that my main computer isn't working right now (going to be getting pieces to build a new one come January- this one to be fair has done me well for the last 6 1/2 years) so I can't easily burn new music to play.

It's been great seeing more of innocent_irony than ever before in the last few months... even if this has provoked some humorous moments which I will keep to myself for now. Plans for the next couple of weeks include seeing Onkel Dunkel and Jahbo at a psytrance night at The Colosseum this Friday, and I'm still considering GlowBall next weekend, though I'm really not going to be deciding for sure until next week on this as I may need a weekend free before Christmas.

I'd hoped to be able to get down to Southampton before then too to see people, catch up with Port or other seasonal refreshments, but I don't think this is going to be possible I'm afraid folks. Maybe in January??! I'm going to be working up 'til Christmas eve again this year (I usually seem to), and taking my leave afterwards and into January.

And during that time I'm going to Montreal... :D (again)! Going to be there from NYE for 10 days getting suitably acquainted with snow, ice, seeing Kelly and taking in some local night life. I've been reading about an underground psy scene which there seems to be around Quebec province too so hopefully I'll be able to catch a night of that somewhere.
